We stopped here one morning while we were in Houston! The donut was phenomenal. The lattes were pretty good as well!

From all the 4/5 star reviews it's hard not to have high expectations for AHH Coffee!, and by first appearances alone the location seemed to offer a pleasant atmosphere. Now the coffee itself was average to mediocre--perhaps a little burnt but nothing that can't be written off as a one off mistake, and given the initial promise of the shop I would have happily given the place another chance.
HOWEVER, the customer service here is shocking and, quite frankly, embarrassing. When we entered there were no other people in line, and yet going by the cashier's face alone you would imagine we (first time) customers were holding up a line that was out the door. Perhaps this cold reception was our fault for having the nerve to interrupt the employees as they talked about and laughed at the small children of a family who had just left as we arrived, but who's to say. I can say with certainty though, that a barista pointedly rolling their eyes and grumbling about my order of **a single iced coffee** is just ridiculous.
Now looking around other Yelp reviews similar to my own, it's plain to see that Ahh Coffee just does not care about its customer service issue. This is of course their prerogative, but it's sad to see a promising coffee shop with so many neat vegan options squander it's potential like this. Will never go back. -

In every coffee shop I've been in, throughout the past decade+, I've never encountered racism, sexism, or prejudice of sexual orientation. That streak, ended today.
I was very happy to enjoy the day of soccer, beginning with the Women's World Cup today, about 100 feet from the door of Ahh, Coffee!, and happy to pick up some items for my partner.
Upon discussing (completely non-political) with the male attendant about the lack of pastries, and the lack of preparation, he told me that the predictions of people watching the WWC who might visit the shop, (nevermind the 2 other Men's soccer games today!), were a very low turnout. Dash games do not garner the same amount of crowds in Houston as the championship club Dynamo team, so that would be accurate. However, for years, the US Women's National Team garners *immensely more* attendance, viewership and spending nationwide than the US Men's soccer team. With a small amount of research on the net, this is very evident.
Although I don't believe this is outright sexism, it could be an unconscious bias against females, or female athletes, or.... etc. With the other two games, it was probably secondarily poor planning.
Immediately, I'm no longer a patron of this place until these actions (not perceptions -- those are not mine to dissolve) are radically changed. It's sad, because there are several persons of various genders who earn their pay here, whom I cannot support because of the decisions of one person who controls item availability -- which the availability has, in recent history, been also Yelped as problematic.
Thank you for 3 years, my dear coffee shop. I'll cherish those memories. -

I used to live in the area and unfortunately think the place has gone downhill. The seating is enjoyable with leather couches and chairs but that's the highlight. Coffee was average (latte) and there were no food options except for wrapped granola bars and a burnt empanada on display.
The coffee table had several spills and drops and they all looked like they had been there for a while. Stains rather than recent drippings.
The toilets were another story. Not clean as they were wet and dirty. I'll drive down to Tout Suite next time for better coffee and food options. Hours are a little disappointing as well. -

This place is a rare GEM! I love it and I'll definitely come back. I got the Thai iced coffee which is DELICIOUS seriously good stuff- and the matcha latte (not for me but I but it's also delicious) the presentation is very good and the staff was kind and hospitable. You should definitely give this place a go :)
